The International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) will bring its flagship EDGE education programme to Auckland, New Zealand, 16-19 March 2026. PCOs and business events professionals from around the world will be welcomed to an immersive, masterclass-style training programme at the highly anticipated New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC).
A high-impact educational experience is promised, designed to elevate professional standards, sharpen strategic thinking, and equip PCOs and event organisers with the skills required to thrive in an increasingly complex global meetings environment.
The first IAPCO EDGE Seminar was held in Auckland 10 years ago. EDGE now is not a traditional workshop, but rather an intensive, highly interactive programme focused on real-world challenges, peer-to-peer exchange, and future-focused thinking – delivered by industry leaders and experts.
Stephen Noble, chair of the IAPCO Training Academy, said: “Over 10 very successful years, this masterclass-style EDGE seminar has become the very best education available those who work in and around conferences.
“EDGE gives PCOs and business events professionals the opportunity to take their education to the next level – challenging thinking, sharing knowledge and strengthening the capabilities that underpin quality, confidence and excellence in conference delivery.
“We are very proud to bring EDGE back in Auckland, where it all started a decade ago.”
Hosting EDGE in Auckland also marks a significant moment for New Zealand’s business events sector and will see the showcasing of the new New Zealand International Convention Centre – opening in February 2026. EDGE will be one of the first major education programmes hosted at the venue.
