US-based Fifth Street DMC has announced the acquisition of Mosaix Group, a Carolinas-based destination management company and longtime member of the DMC Network. The acquisition expands Fifth Street’s footprint into North Carolina.

Fifth Street says it is not pursuing scale through broad geographic coverage, but through investing in established, owner-led teams with deep regional knowledge and long-standing relationships.

“Mosaix represents exactly how we believe destination management should work,” said Kaitlyn Dineen, founder + CEO of Fifth Street DMC. “This acquisition wasn’t about entering a market quickly or expanding a service map. It was about aligning with a team that understands the responsibility of representing a place and delivering programmes with clarity, care, and accountability.”

Founded by Melissa Murray, Mosaix Group has spent more than two decades delivering programmes across the Carolinas and internationally. Mosaix Group will operate as Fifth Street’s Carolinas division, maintaining its brand name and local team.

“For our DMC clients and partners, this transition is designed to feel seamless,” said Murray. “Fifth Street understands that destination management is not interchangeable. They respect local knowledge, value long-term relationships, and are committed to supporting the people who do the work on the ground.

We will continue running our meeting-planning business under MOX Agency, where that team remains fully focused on serving and growing our meeting-planning clients with the same hands-on approach and creativity they expect.”

Fifth Street DMC, which is 100% women-owned, is also announcing key leadership roles supporting the expanded portfolio, with Buffy Lamm promoted to president and Alyssa May Hart named Director of Sales, West, leading sales efforts for Austin and Montana. Emily Burgholzer has been named Director of Sales, East, leading sales efforts for the Carolinas.

Both Fifth Street DMC and Mosaix Group are members of the DMC Network, the global alliance of destination management companies. With this acquisition, Fifth Street DMC now supports programmes across Texas, Montana, and the Carolinas.
