The Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa has opened a new multi-million-dollar convention centre and event precinct designed to capture a slice of the booming demand for MICE travel in the South Pacific. The new venue offers 16,576sqm of flexible event space including one of Fiji’s largest pillarless ballrooms (up to 1,400 guests). The Event Centre 1, 2 & 3 offers three identical spaces (12.5m × 24.3m), each hosting up to 448 theatre-style.
The convention centre is also a powerful new symbol that Fiji’s MICE sector is rapidly expanding and bringing the country into contention for major regional events. This resort also recently won Fijian Upscale Resort of the Year at the 2025 HM Awards.
The resort’s beachfront setting overlooking Wailoaloa Beach provides a backdrop for open-air functions and sunset receptions and it also offers nine distinctive dining venues that showcase global flavours and Fijian ingredients, with a tenth opening in 2026.
Sudhir Yadav, general manager of Crowne Plaza Fiji, said the launch marked a major milestone for the resort and has already generated strong interest. “We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the opening of this addition to the resort,” said Yadav. “It’s been a long time coming, but our new convention centre truly sets a new benchmark for MICE venues in the Pacific.

Honorable Filimoni Vosarogo, Fiji’s acting prime minister and minister and minister for lands and mineral resources, officiated the resort’s grand opening and stated: “Today’s redevelopment of this iconic Wailoaloa property is a clear vote of confidence in Fiji’s economy and tourism future. It represents resilience, progress, and a renewed commitment to delivering world-class facilities and authentic Fijian experiences.”
