IBTM World 2025 will host its most internationally diverse edition yet, featuring a record number of new and returning exhibitors when it returns to Fira de Barcelona from 18-20 November. New destinations on the show floor include West Hollywood, the Cayman Islands, Fiera Milano, Sarajevo and Sofia. Astana will return after several years away, joined by VisitScotland and Buenos Aires.

Abercrombie & Kent DMC will also make its debut.

Largest African presence in over a decade

This year marks the largest African presence at IBTM World in more than a decade. South Africa, Morocco, Egypt and Rwanda are all returning with larger stands. New participants include Rainbow Tourism Group from Zimbabwe, Business Class (a Moroccan DMC) and convention bureaux from Uganda and Tunisia, both attending with 10 partners.

The cruise sector will also feature prominently, with Norwegian Cruise Line, City Cruises and Century Cruises joining for the first time. Century Cruises will showcase river and coastal offerings across China, Japan and Vietnam.

Increase in hotel representation

Hotel representation will grow in the expanded Hotel Pavilion, launched in 2024. Wyndham Hotels, Seibu Prince Hotels & Resorts, The Kimberly Hotel, and Impulsive Group will debut, alongside returning names such as The Muse New York, Regnum Carya, The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife Abama, and Viceroy at Ombria Algarve.

In event technology, first-time exhibitors include Newhotel Software, vFairs and Cvent. The Meetings & Events Support Association (MESA) will return with an enlarged stand, more than doubling the number of participating suppliers from 2024.

Claudia Hall, exhibition director of IBTM World, said: “We’re thrilled to see the continued growth and diversification of our exhibitor community. The addition of new destinations, hotel brands and event service providers – alongside the largest African presence in more than a decade – highlights the strength and global reach of our industry.”
