ICCA has announced a landmark sustainability partnership with EarthCheck. The collaboration represents a pivotal step in ICCA’s mission to embed sustainability and measurable climate action across the global business events industry.
Under a new two-year agreement, EarthCheck will serve as ICCA’s Sustainability Partner, reinforcing ICCA’s commitment to reducing environmental impact, strengthening best practice, and empowering its global community to take meaningful action.

To launch the partnership, EarthCheck applied its EventCalculator tool to measure the carbon footprint of the 2025 ICCA Congress in Porto. The findings will help shape ICCA’s long-term sustainability roadmap and establish clear, evidence-based targets aligned with the Net Zero Carbon Events initiative.

Through this partnership, ICCA and EarthCheck will collaborate on sustainability strategies, events, training, and communications, embedding sustainability principles throughout ICCA’s operations and flagship activities. ICCA members will also gain access to EarthCheck’s guidance, tools, and certification support to advance their own sustainability goals and reporting practices.
