US-based travel and event management company TAG (The Appointment Group, Ltd.), has announced a raft of leadership changes, including the appointment of Fred Stratford as chair. He will lead the Board and brings deep industry experience, having served as group chief executive officer at Reed & Mackay.
Jens Penny, TAG’s CEO, will be stepping down after seven years with the company during which he guided the company through a period of significant evolution leading up to its investment from ECI Partners in 2024. An external search is currently underway for a new CEO.
John McLaughlin has also joined TAG as chief financial officer earlier this year and will also serve as a member of the Board and executive team.
Stratford said he looked forward to building on the work of the team at TAG. “Together with the Executive Team and ECI Partners, we’ll continue driving the company’s next phase of growth and success.”
