The UK and Ireland Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has appointed Olivia Breene as its new chapter president.
Breene succeeds current president, Brian Hand as he completes his term leading the chapter’s 2025 board.
Breene steps into the role having already made a significant imapact on the chapter as a long-standing board member and most recently as president elect.
Over the past four years she has held a range of senior board roles, including VP marketing, partnerships, events and strategy, helping to shape the chapter’s value proposition for members across the UK and Ireland.
In her new role as chapter president, Breene will lead MPI UK snd Ireland’s strategy and programming, with a strong emphasis on community interaction, strategic partnerships and professional development for meetings and events professionals.
She will also continue to contribute at European level through her role on the MPI European Council for the MPI Foundation, supporting its charitable and educational goals across the continent.

Breene is the founder of Lateralus B, specialising in redefining possibilities for organisations by leveraging deep expertise in commercial dynamics, marketing, event experiences and sales strategies.
Alongside her MPI commitments, Breene also serves as co-chairperson of Maree Oranmore FC in Ireland, where she implements strategies that boost club visibility and fosters inclusivity, reflecting her wider commitment to community, inclusion and long-term development.
